PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE SEVERAL SUPPLIES INCLUDING THE PATTERN THAT ARE INCLUDED IN THE COST OF THE CAMP. THOSE SUPPLIES ARE NOT LISTED. If you place your order with Firecracker, they will notify you when the order is ready for pickup. At pickup please ask for your template and supply kit as well. It is helpful if you let me know you placed your order so I can help to make sure the supplies/kit get into your bag! Even if you don’t order supplies through Firecracker, the supplies that are included, as well as pattern templates, will need to be picked up. It is helpful if you let me know your plans for ordering so we can coordinate this!
THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES STUDENTS NEED TO PURCHASE:
- Exterior Fabric: 1 yard mid to heavy weight woven fabric such as canvas or quilting cotton (NO waxed canvas)
- Lining Fabric: 1 yard quilting cotton or similar weight fabric (woven fabric)
- 2 small spools of all-purpose thread or 1 large spool
- 22″ zipper or LONGER
- One yard – 1″ wide webbing (for handles)
- two yards – 1.5″ wide webbing (for straps)
- three yards – 1/2″ double fold bias tape (or one package)
At-home sewing supplies needed for virtual camps:
Binder clips or wonder clips or heavy duty pins (we will be pinning through a lot of layers) –
Zipper foot for home machine
Glue Stick
Scissors (check they are good for cutting fabric)
Scissors for cutting paper (can be same scissors if you don’t have a separate specific fabric scissor)
Seam Ripper
Sewing Machine
Iron & Ironing Board
Something to be able to make marks on fabric (chalk, fabric marker, chalk pen, disappearing or water-soluable marker, washable Crayola marker) no sharpies!
Straight Edge Ruler
Tape Measure
A way to connect on Zoom (Ipad, tablet, laptop or phone as last choice – larger screens will make viewing easier)
