Hudson Pant – VIRTUAL

Ok, so we are all stuck at home, so let’s learn to make some comfy at home clothes!  The Hudson pant is the piece of clothing that you will wear all of the time. It is comfortable enough to wear around the house, but can easily be dressed up to go run errands. The urban fit of these pants leaves a bit of extra room around the hips and then tapers into a skinny leg. View A is a full length pant and View B is midcalf.

Pre-Requisites

Advanced Beginner or Intermediate level.

Must know how to thread and operate the sewing machine.  Should have prior experience using a pattern as you will need to cut pattern and fabric out in advance of class.

It is okay if you have not used knits before.

Supplies
For class you will need the Hudson Pant pattern (or another similar option if you okay it by me such as the Mel Jogger by Seamwork).  The Hudson is available PDF format.  Seamwork are also PDF.
Prior to class you will want to piece together if necessary and cut out pattern and fabric so you are ready to sew at the first session.  Make sure to prewash fabric to preshrink.  Then you will want your fabric, thread and elastic as required by the pattern.  Fabric should be cut before class in your size as determined by your body measurements.  So if you have questions let me know!
You should be pretty comfortable threading and operating your own machine, and have access to an ipad or laptop to meet via zoom.  A phone works too, just not as big a screen.
You will also want basic sewing tools: scissors, seam ripper, pins or clips , tape measure or ruler etc!
Firecracker has some great rayon sweatshirt fleece online right now too!
This is also a great place to order pdf patterns from:
