Quilting Skill Builder Series III

In the third installment of our Quilt Skill Builder Series, we’ll focus on blocks that involve funky angles! In each lesson, we will make one version of the block and learn how to approach blocks that involve angled cuts or piecing. This class will produce four quilt blocks to use as you see fit, but not a finished project. They will match in size to the other skill builder blocks from previous series, so they can be used as practice or together in a project as desired!

Please note that the skill builder classes are *not* sequential! You do not have to take Series I or II of this class prior to taking Series III, as long as you have the required experience in general.

Class Schedule:
Week 1 – Crazy Quilting
Week 2 – Economy Blocks
Week 3 – X-Blocks
Week 4 – Bird In The Air

Pre-Requisites

Basic comfort level with patchwork techniques and terms, including sewing an accurate 1/4” seam. If you took The Basic Quilt class at Cut & Sew, you’re ready!

Supplies
Supplies:
  • A minimum of two quarter yards of quilting cotton fabric (long quarters required for Week 1, and fine for all weeks) will be needed for each class. Most blocks can be made with scraps or multiple colors if you choose!
