Reading Pillow for Kids – Virtual

Must be comfortable threading and operating your own sewing machine at home.  For students with limited sewing experience, and younger students, please note that some adult supervision at home may be required.  Only basic sewing experience needed.

Class project supply list:

16” pillow insert
1/2 yd quilting cotton for pillow back
1/2 yd quilting cotton for pillow front
1/2 yd quilting cotton for pillow pocket
1/4 yd 1“ cotton webbing for handle
2 1/2 yd Pom Pom trim- LINK to order from Firecracker
(Optional: Scraps, buttons, ribbon, or trims for decoration – to do as homework between classes if desired!)

Please make sure that when you come to pick up supplies you request your pattern templates for the class as well.  If you are too far for curbside pickup, we can mail them to you!

At Home Sewing Supplies and Tools:
– A sewing machine
– Iron and Ironing board
-Pins
-Seam Ripper
-chalk, washable or fabric marker, other tool to draw on fabric
-Scissors that can cut fabric – please check your scissors work okay for cutting
-Ruler or tape measure
-Additional sewing machine needle in case a needle breaks!

You will also need a laptop, ipad or tablet to connect via zoom. Zoom link to be sent prior to class. You can use a phone but it’s not ideal as the screen is small.
