Screen Printing for Quilters

A screenprinting class specifically geared towards printing for patchwork! A collaborative class between PCAM (Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media) and Cut & Sew Studio, students will learn to plan screenprinted designs and work with scale in order to create beautiful patchwork with their hand-printed fabrics. This class will walk students through design and printing their own unique quilting fabrics, then students will sew their hand-printed fabrics into a unique piece of patchwork, which can be turned into a pillow cover during class, or repeated to make a larger project!

Suitable for beginner screenprinters, but sewists or quilters with intermediate experience. Those who have taken the Quilt Skill Builder classes or have equivalent experience with sewing patchwork are welcome. Please ask if you’re not sure!

More details to be confirmed. Please note screenprinting sessions (classes 1-3) will take place at PCAM , while sewing sessions (classes 4-5) will take place at Cut & Sew Studio.
