The Fly Zipper – VIRTUAL

Would you love to make pants but are intimidated by the fly zipper? Whether you are looking to make jeans or any other pant with a traditional fly zipper setting… or even a skirt using this zipper detail, the many pieces and steps to constructing a fly zipper can be a bit scary. Join Brad in a fly zipper construction workshop and you’ll be installing beautiful zippers in no time!

Pre-Requisites

Supplies

Pattern to use in class will be sent as a pdf before class to print and cut pieces before class.
Fabric to make sample zipper setting. Should be woven, preferably a quilting cotton or muslin or similar fabric. No stretch fabrics.
Thread
7″ or longer regular plastic zipper, preferably not metal

You will also need a laptop, ipad or tablet to connect via zoom. Zoom link to be sent prior to class. You can use a phone but it’s not ideal as the screen is small.

You will also need all your basic sewing tools! Scissors, seam ripper, pins or clips, Iron
