While in-person camps are limited this summer, and some of you do not have the option of an in-person camp, join us from the comfort of your own home in a Virtual Sewing Camp! These camps run Mon-Fri for 2 hours daily! Please check “dates” for specific class times and camp project descriptions and prerequisites.
The great thing about a Virtual Sewing camp with Cut & Sew Studio is there is minimal time actually spent in front of the screen. We use Zoom to meet for camp, and we use zoom as a way for students to get assistance on their project and connect with friends in camp, however a student’s time is spent almost entirely on cutting, pinning, sewing and pressing just as we would at the studio!
We also understand that a lot of students do not have all the necessary tools and supplies or even a machine at home to take part in a virtual camp. That is why we are going to make it easy for you this summer! We hope to have several machines available for rental for the week for a fee. You will need to check regarding availability of a machine for a particular week PRIOR to signup. Machines will be disinfected in between use. There will also be a kit of supplies you will pick up prior to your week of camp which will include any necessary patterns or tools(if needed) that are not on the supply list. Tools will need to be returned at the end of the week. All items on the supply list for camp and needed for projects will be available from Firecracker Fabrics.
For students with limited sewing experience, and younger students, please note that some adult supervision at home may be required. Students should be comfortable threading their own machine or the studio machine prior to camp. When renting the studio machine, you will have an opportunity to watch Ms. Catherine’s video on threading the machine prior to camp to make sure you are ready for the first day! If you need help with your own machine at home, please setup a private lesson with Ms. Catherine.
So let’s get ready for a summer of sewing!
Instructor: See "dates" for instructor for each camp
