Virtual Stocking Workshop for Kids

Make your own cozy stocking for the winter holidays to fill with treats or toys! Make this for yourself, a doll or friend, your cat (or dog!), or as super-cute wrapping for a special gift! We’ll use pompom trim on the cuff to make it extra fun!

Pre-Requisites

For students who have taken my intro to sewing camp/class or other similar experience. It is also possible to take this class with less experience if you have an experienced adult to assist you with your machine at home. Otherwise, the student should be comfortable threading and operating their machine at home. Anyone who has taken virtual classes/camps already is eligible to take this workshop.

Supplies

– 1/2 yd exterior fabric
– 1/2 yd lining fabric
– 1 yard pom pom trim
– 1/2 yard fusible fleece interfacing

Pattern template – please ask for the template when you pick up your order at Firecracker Fabrics. If you are not ordering from Firecracker let me know so we can arrange for you to get your template!

At Home Sewing Supplies and Tools:
– A sewing machine
– Iron and Ironing board
-Pins
-Seam Ripper
-chalk, washable or fabric marker, other tool to draw on fabric
-Scissors that can cut fabric – please check your scissors work okay for cutting
-Ruler or fabric tape measure
-Additional sewing machine needle in case a needle breaks!

You will also need a laptop, ipad or tablet to connect via zoom. Zoom link to be sent prior to class. You can use a phone but it’s not ideal as the screen is small.
