This is an advanced bag pattern by Noodlehead. Great for learning more advanced bag making techniques in a structured bag with hardware and zipper. There is a small bag version and a larger bag version, plus several details can be changed to make it more complex or simpler based on your child’s skill.

- ¾ yard {½ yard} Exterior Fabric
- 1 ¼ yards {1 yard} Lining Fabric (includes interior pockets and pocket linings)
- ½ yard {½ yard} Exterior Accent Fabric (includes strap, exterior pockets)
- 2 ½ yards {2 yards} Fusible Woven Interfacing (Pellon SF101 – 20”-wide)
SF101 is a more expensive but very high quality interfacing. Or for a less expensive option go with Heat n bond medium weight non-woven fusible interfacing. - ¾ yard {½ yard} Cotton Canvas (9-11oz. weight) or Fusible Fleece (Pellon 987F)
- 18mm magnetic snap (optional closure)
- (2) 1”-wide d-rings
- 1”-wide strap slider (optional if making strap long/adjustable)
- (2) 1”-wide swivel clasps
- 8” {6”} all-purpose zipper (for interior zippered pocket) – optional – we can also make a patch pocket or no interior pocket
- 1 spool of all-purpose polyester thread
Recommended Fabrics: Cotton canvas, cotton/linen canvas, denim, home dec for exterior. Quilting cotton for lining and accent fabrics.
