Custom Swimwear

$195.00

Thinking of buying a new swim suit for the summer, why not make one instead!!! Using Jalie pattern 3350 as a starting point, you can make either a one or two-piece suit and choose one of the two different bust options featured in the pattern. The suit featured here was made using bust option B and a modified version of the bottom.  Pattern goes up to size 22 and kids sizes are also included, so you may also choose to make one for your child!  Check out a video by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that features Rebekah and her Swimsuit class!  Click HERE.

Supply List:

Jalie Pattern 3350 (order a hard copy if possible, if not, you can do the printable version, ,just make sure you print to the correct scale and have it pieced together BEFORE class)
1 yard of bathing suit fabric (this can be split up into 2 half yard pieces if you want to use color blocking in your suit).
Half yard of swimsuit lining
one 1” swimsuit G hook (or S hook)
4 yards of swim elastic (3/8″ wide)
Swim cups (optional)

Note: If you plan to make the 2 piece you will need 1″ wide elastic for the waistband (enough to go around the waist – get extra if unsure)

We ordered all of these supplies from www.TheFabricFairy.com, which seems to have the largest selection.  I would suggest ordering your supplies from them.
You could also choose to go to The Fabric Place in Mt Lebanon as I do know that they carry swimwear fabric and supplies
