Learn all of the basics of quiltmaking! We will cover cutting, piecing, quilting, and binding to create a quilted table runner. Learn how to properly use a rotary cutter and ruler and how to use a walking foot. This is a beginner level class but students must know how to use a sewing machine and have basic sewing machine skills.

Supply List:
Sewing machine with 1/4″ foot (if you are using a machine at the studio 1/4″ foot will be provided, if you are bringing your own machine please bring a 1/4″ foot with you)
Recommended – walking foot – again if you are using a machine at the studio walking foot will be provided, if you are bringing your own machine please bring a walking foot with you)
Cotton thread, neutral color, 40 or 50 wt
Rotary cutter – 45mm or other size if you already have one
Large rotary cutting ruler (i.e. 6” x 24”)
1/4 yard each of 4 different cotton quilting weight fabrics
1/2 yard of fabric for accent strips and binding
3/4 yard backing
3/4 yard low loft cotton or cotton/poly blend batting
