Archer Button-Up Shirt

During our shirt-making series learn how to sew a button-up shirt using the Grain-line Studio Archer Shirt Pattern (size 0-18 or 14-32).   Button-ups have lots of special details that can create lots of challenges, let us guide you through the steps to make a shirt that looks professionally sewn and finished.  If you have another button-up shirt pattern or shirt dress you’ve had your eye on tackling let us know – most likely you could choose that pattern as well!

Pre-Requisites

Recommended Experience Level: Intermediate or above

Supplies
  • Archer Shirt Pattern Available at Firecracker (or another shirt pattern of your choice, please check in advance if it is a suitable option!)  Pattern choices are 0-18 or 14-32!
  • 1 or 2 spools of all-purpose thread to match
  • Fabric yardage as specified by the pattern in a woven (non-stretch) cotton quilting weight, lawn, voile, chambray or other similar fabric.
    • Get extra fabric if you are trying to match a plaid.
  • Fusible interfacing (light to medium weight) as specified on the pattern
  • Buttons as specified on the pattern
