Choose your own Adventure in Sewing Camp

For the student who would like to choose their own sewing adventure this summer, this camp is for you.  This camp is for older sewists (with prior experience) entering grades 5-12 who would like to continue developing their pattern-reading and sewing skills by making a garment of their choice (or another non-garment sewing project), or choose from one of several options that will be suggested.  Students can pick a project involving the use of a pattern and work throughout the week to create their look of one or more items.  Students must have prior experience to take this camp.  This is not a beginner camp.  Students can choose from a variety of projects such as garments, bags or quilts…a great opportunity to explore their creativity!

*Please note that if you are looking through projects listed on the website – the number of sessions listed for how long a project takes is referring to regular 2 hour sessions.

Pre-Requisites

Intro to Sewing Camp or class or similar experience.  This camp is not for newbies, must have prior experience.  For students entering Grades 5-12.

Supplies

Select a pattern for what you would like to make and get the necessary items for that pattern.  This class works like the regular weekly sewing classes run during the school year, but consolidated to a week long camp.  Students are also permitted to work on a project they started during the year and need additional time to complete.  Please check in with Catherine at the studio in advance to get project approval prior to shopping for supplies.

You are also welcome to choose a project that is being made in one of the other weeks of camp!  So even if you cannot attend the other camp, you are still welcome to make that project!

*Please note that if you are looking through projects listed on the website – the number of sessions listed for how long a project takes is referring to regular 2 hour sessions.  So you will want to look for a project that is a bit bigger of a project preferably or we can do a few smaller projects.
