Scrapyard Tote Camp
This summer learn about fun ways to use little scraps while making the Scrapyard tote complete with a zipper pocket and magnetic snap closure and a scrappy storage bucket! In this camp students will learn and improve their cutting, piecing and quilting skills. Prior experience is necessary, either the intro to sewing camp or class or similar experience. For students entering grades 3 through 9.
Must have taken the Intro to sewing Camp or series during the school year or have other similar experience. For students in 3rd grade and up.
SUPPLIES FOR SCRAPYARD TOTE
- 1/2 yard of lining fabric – quilting cotton
- 1/3 yard of handle fabric – quilting cotton
- Fusible Fleece  – 3/4 yard (one sided fusible)
- 7″ or longer all purpose zipper! No metal zippers unless you have done zipper sewing before. And if you get a metal zipper it MUST be the correct size)
- magnetic snap closure
- 2 small spools or one large spool of all-purpose thread
- For the main part of the bag, choose 3 fat quarters of your liking PLUS some of your favorite scraps from home and plan to mix with studio scraps. If you have lots of scraps to bring in you do not need to get the fat quarters

- 1 spool of all-purpose thread
- 1/2 yard of quilting cotton for lining
- choose 3 fat quarters of your liking PLUS some of your favorite scraps from home and plan to mix with studio scraps. If you have lots of scraps to bring in you do not need to get fat quarters
- Fusible Fleece  – 1/2 yard (one sided fusible)
