This dress pattern is for an intermediate to advanced sewist and would not be considered a beginner level garment pattern. The Lakeside Tieback dress from Simple Life Pattern Company, pattern is available in size 2T-16. This dress features a beautiful tie back and elastic casing that makes this a great “grow with me” dress. The slightly scooped front bodice is the perfect delicate touch for elegance and comfort. Lakeside also features wonderful spaghetti straps that lead to a classic scoop back above the bow ties.

Supplies Needed:
You will need to purchase the Lakeside dress pattern HERE. You will then need to print the pattern on8.5″ x 11″ paper at home to be taped together in class, or you can print the PDF large AO file (Firecracker does offer printing services, but must plan in advance)
*Please let me know what size you think your child should do for the dress, we will also measure to confirm that in class. But if you want to size up let us know!

1/2 yard of solid quilting cotton or muslin for lining (NOT a slippery lining fabric).
2 spools of all-purpose thread (preferably polyester)
1/4 yard of 3/4″ wide elastic

If your child will want to make a longer length dress (something below the knee) add 1/4 yard to the total main fabric you purchase.
*Fabric Recommendations – quilting cottons, cotton lawn or voile or other light-mid weight woven fabrics. Only more advanced students should choose something slippery for this dress. No knit(stretch) fabrics. Nothing too thick, stiff or bulky, it will lay more nicely and flow better if the fabric is not stiff or bulky.
