Ruffle Dress

This dress pattern is for an intermediate to advanced sewist and would not be considered a beginner level garment pattern.  Students will learn about using bias tape, making an elastic casing and more while working on their pattern reading skills.  Please note there is a jump suit version in this pattern but the below instructions and supply list are for the dress.  If you would like to make the jumpsuit please contact the studio for clarification on supplies needed!

Time Required (7-8 sessions or a whole series of classes)

Supplies Needed:

You must purchase New Look Simplicity Pattern N6444, pattern is for size 8-16

Fabric Recommendations – quilting cottons, cotton sateen, cotton lawn or voile or other light-mid weight woven fabrics. Only more advanced students should choose something slippery for this dress. No knit(stretch) fabrics. Nothing too thick, stiff or bulky, it will lay more nicely and flow better if the fabric is not stiff or bulky.
