You will need to purchase the pattern, fabric and notions for a bag pattern of your choice. Here are a few of our favorites we suggest. If you have another you’d love to do just let us know! And if you are unsure which one is best for your skill level feel free to ask.

If you feel intimidated by too complicated of a bag pattern and want to keep it very simple you could also opt for our structured tote bag. As a very beginner friendly pattern.
– Clover Wonder Clips (optional, but so helpful!) – there are some available at studio as well. And they do sell them at Firecracker Fabrics.
– If you have a rotary cutter, quilting rulers, and cutting mat, please bring them to the first session! Please let me know if you do not have these supplies at home already! You are not required to cut with a rotary cutter and ruler, but it is a super helpful skill to learn. These tools are also sold at Firecracker.
NOTE: Firecracker Fabrics will have a short time frame of closure around the end of March and early April due to their move across the street. So please shop WELL in advance. Also, since bags tend to have lots of various hardware and zippers needed, it’s good to shop well in advance so you can make sure you are able to acquire all the needed items for class.
For Zippers we do LOVE the zippers by the yard for a metal look in a non-metal zipper! Then you can make the zipper sized to your liking.
